Abinsk Electric Steel Works Introduce a New Type of Rebar

Abinsk Electric Steel Works, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, introduce А500СНУ, a new type of rebar with better end-user performance, into the Russian practice of design and construction.

The decision to promote this type of rolled products is a result of consumers' demand for products with increased safety requirements, including those to be used in the areas with seismic activity of 7 and greater.

AESW' row-bundled rebar А500СНУ is a rolled product that combines the enhanced properties of both hot-rolled thermomechanically hardened and cold-formed rolled products.

The main advantage of this new type of rebar is the manufacturability of the three-sided and four-sided profile. It allows for less torsion during unwinding and manufacturing of bent frame elements, which reduces the wear of the rollers and the crumpling of the transverse ribs.

Another important advantage is the high density of row-bundles which allows to minimize logistics and warehousing costs. AESW' row-bundled rebar А500СНУ meets the most stringent durability and safety requirements of international standards for rolled products.
