Director of Department for Basic Industries, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Speaks About Development of Metal-Expo

Mr. V. Semyonov, Director of Department for Basic Industries, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee of Metal-Expo International Industrial Exhibition has shared his concept of development of Metal-Expo: “Metal-Expo develops fast. This year’s exhibition has been highly estimated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. In the beginning it was a mono exhibition then equipment producers and technology suppliers added. In my opinion, now the exhibition is not for producer, but for consumer”. Mr. V. Semyonov also believes, that scientific and research institutions should present their developments at the exhibition more. He says: “Until now the exhibition has been held under the slogan: Metal Today!, whereas it should be held under the slogan Metal Tomorrow! Since Metal-Expo is one of the biggest industrial exhibitions it is the right place to change stereotypes. Steel industry is one of the multiplying branches of industry and the exhibition is able to expand the boarders of cooperation between the braches” - summarized Mr. V. Semyonov.
