KUMZ has put into experimental-industrial operation the smelting and casting unit No. 16

At Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Plant (JSC KUMZ), a new smelting and casting unit No. 16 has been commissioned for industrial trial operation after extensive modernization. The upgraded unit No. 16, with a production capacity of 25,000 tons per year, meets the highest standards for modern production organization and product quality. Officials from the government and the Legislative Assembly of Sverdlovsk Region, as well as Kamensk-Uralsky administration, participated in the ceremonial launch.
"A new smelting and casting unit No.16 allows casting billets from all groups of aluminum alloys of any cross-section and size," said Vasily Radko, General Director of JSC KUMZ. "Integrating nre unit into the technological chain will accelerate casting production by 15-20% and improve the efficiency of all processing stages. Technologically, the upgraded unit corresponds to the best foundry equipment installed at the plant." Experts highlight unit No. 16's modern features, including a casting line equipped with off-furnace refining and a box filter for melt purification.
KUMZ will participate in Metal-Expo'2025. Their stand will be located in Hall G.
